Jorge Gonzalez-Estrella, a former PhD student in the Field-Sierra group, has accepted a tenure-track assistantJorge Gonzalez-Estrella professor position at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Oklahoma State University. Jorge joined his new department in the Fall 2020.

 


 

The award recognizes an outstanding first-year graduate student pursuing a degree in sanitary or environmental engineering. Entering first-year UA College of Engineering graduate students enrolled full time within the departments of CHEE and CAEM who are pursuing advanced degrees primarily focused on sanitary and environmental engineering. The recipient will be selected by the UA College of Engineering Dean or his/her designated appointee in consultation with the respective department heads.

Camila Madeira has been awarded a prestigious postdoctoral  scholarship from the Brazilian agency CAPES. This award will allow her to conduct research at Department of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering - Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil, for 2 years.
